RICHARD HENDERSON
With over 25 years of full time teaching experience, I’ve helped students achieve success at the highest levels, including signing to major record labels, performing on BBC TV and Radio, playing in national arenas, and featuring in top newspapers. They've even performed at venues such as Brixton Academy and the Glasgow Exhibition Arena.
I’ve developed my own proven teaching method of teaching drums and am skilled at identifying diverse learning styles and needs, including those of left-handed students and individuals with autism, ADHD, Asperger's syndrome and dyslexia.
I’m committed to providing drum lessons that are supportive, personalised learning environment for every student.
I enjoy exploring the concepts and ideas I have developed for teaching when playing live in local function bands, Good Day at White Rock and Be Like Water.

Master's Degree in Teaching
My Master's degree in teaching equips me with a deep understanding of how people learn, which is essential when teaching any skill, including drums. Beyond knowing the technical aspects of drumming, I can break down complex concepts into manageable lessons that cater to different learning styles. My degree has taught me how to assess my students' strengths and areas for growth, allowing me to customise lessons and help them progress at their own pace. The knowledge of classroom management, motivation and communication strategies that I gained also plays a significant role in creating a positive, effective learning environment.
